Stumped Without You

Brutally sad, yet a vital part of my effort to document this important chapter in the history of the Canal du Midi.

“Stumped Without You” portrays a sight more and more common to the canal as the ailing trees are felled. In time the stumps are removed and gradually young trees are planted in their place, but for a few months these poignant reminders remain; empty plinths, calling us to remember what was.

Help replant a tree today!
