The idea for this painting came to me to me in a dream:
Zooming down the autobahns and autoroutes from Berlin to France, I stopped at night to break the journey. That evening, eyes closed I carried on zooming down the autobahns and autoroutes, slowing down to marvel over the dreamlike beauty of the Canal du Midi that I could see beyond the safety barrier.
